High School Administration

Mr. Eric Rosen
High School Principal rosene@hhsd.k12.nj.us

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Neumann College in Elementary Education and then a Master of Arts from Wilmington University in School Leadership. I began my career as a fifth grade math, science, and social studies teacher in a collaborative setting in Burlington Township. From 2007–2013, I was the head baseball coach here at Heights.

I am excited to continue working with and being a part of the Heights community. I am dedicated to building students academically, as well as emotionally and socially, to make them well-rounded individuals. As a coach, I could see the passion, enthusiasm, and work ethic that our students possess first hand. It is my goal to instill those values into our students and help them strive for excellence.

At the beginning of my educational career, I completed my student teaching, substitute taught, became a building aide, became a long term substitute and was hired as a special education teacher which lasted over seven years at Deptford Township Public Schools. Once I received my Master’s degree in May of 2008, I worked four years as the athletic director at the Penns Grove-Carneys Point Regional School District and I also served as the assistant principal and guidance director.

This school year marks the start of my eighth year as vice principal at Haddon Heights School District. During my time at 3 HS, I have created and developed meaningful relationships with families, community leaders in all sending districts, and most importantly the students. Recently, I have created and maintained a Student Leadership Panel and a Student Ambassador to the Haddon Heights Board of Education, which consists of student leaders that are actively engaged in student government and other clubs and/or activities. I look forward to continue working collaboratively with the communities of Lawnside, Barrington, Merchantville, and Haddon Heights, as I am committed to building significant relationships with all stakeholders creating and maintaining a school atmosphere that promotes academic as well as social and emotional growth for all learners. Please feel free to contact me at any time, as I welcome your interest. I look forward to meeting you at school events.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Secondary Education from Rutgers University and a Master of Arts in School Leadership from Wilmington University. I began my career in public education as a social studies teacher at Rancocas Valley Regional High School. I have now been with the Haddon Heights school district for nearly twenty years. From 2000 to 2017, I was the head cross country and track coach. In 2005, I joined the faculty as a social studies teacher, and most recently, I served as the Coordinator of the Social Studies Department.

Throughout my career in education, I have dedicated myself to helping students reach their full potential. As the father of three children in grades sixth, eighth, and tenth, I understand the challenges and opportunities students face during the transitions into junior high and high school. I look forward to working with families, teachers, and all stakeholders to help our students develop into successful, thriving adults. I also look forward to creating a strong identity for the junior high and working with the Barrington, Lawnside, and Merchantville school districts to help our incoming freshmen transition smoothly into high school.
