Our mission is to help students and staff to effectively access, evaluate,
use and communicate information.

Library/Media Center Hours

Monday thru Friday, 7:30 to 3:15

Databases are "open" 24/7!

Sites are accessible only while on the school campus.

Available Materials
  • The Destiny Online Catalog provides total, web-based access to the library print collection.  Mr. Bond is available to train students in the use of this program.

  • The Media Center is organized according to the Dewey Decimal Classification System.

  • Materials are purchased to support the curriculum. Please let Mr. Bond know if you have a special need or request.

  • Currently over 14,000 titles including circulating and reference materials are housed in the Media Center.  If we do not own a title you need, we may be able to request the material through our statewide interlibrary loan system.

  • Special collections: Career Library; Young Adult picture books – 50% text/50% illustrations, designed to introduce concepts and excellent for reading aloud; Spanish language picture books; Graphic Novels; Three (3) sets of circulating general encyclopedias; Teacher’s Library contains professional books, journals, teaching kits, videos, internet resources directory, anti-bias study guide, and novels for faculty use.

  • Electronic Resources: All students who enter the Haddon Heights Junior & Senior High School Media Center will be expected to follow the stated Media Center rules, Media Center expectations, and computer use policies. All computer resources are to be used for school related purposes only.  Any violation of these rules or policies will result in loss or suspension of network privileges.

  • Printing and scanning capabilities are available in the Media Center. 

  • The Media Center/Library web page, available from the high school page ( is arranged to help students and faculty access library information and find research help. 

  • The Media Center web page offers access to curriculum aligned, proprietary subscription internet databases.  These databases are available from the Library link on the high school page.  Periodicals are accessed through EBSCOhost.  Additional reference resources are available through Gale eBooks.

  • The subscription databases are available for remote access – outside of the Haddon Heights School District network.  Passwords and Usernames are available on this website as well as at the circulation desk.

  • Nooks are now available for circulation! Visit the library to pick up a permission slip. A Nook can be checked out for two weeks.
