2021 Summer Reading

Hello Haddon Heights Junior/Senior High School students!

Here is a quick update about summer reading for all English classes in grades 7-12. For Summer 2021, the school has decided that most English classes will have OPTIONAL summer reading texts and assignments. There are only two classes that will require summer reading books/projects to be completed. Those two courses are:

AP Language (grade 11)
AP Literature (grade 12)

Students in AP Language and AP Literature must read certain books and complete summer assignments. All other English classes in grades 7-12 will have optional, recommended texts, but students are not required to complete summer reading. Students who choose to complete optional summer readings for any class in grades 7-12 will have the opportunity to earn extra credit for their English classes in the fall semester.

All of the recommended summer reading texts and the required assignments for AP Language and AP Literature can be found posted on the Summer Reading Google Classroom. To access the assignment/reading lists, please join the Google Classroom page by clicking on the below link:

Please know that only Haddon Heights students may join the Google Classroom, and must log in using their district Google account.

Sincerely,
